David Crownover
David Crownover is the Client Service Manager for the Silliker, Inc. Food Science Center and has served in many capacities during his 13 years with the food testing and consulting organization. A graduate of Coe College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, David joined the company’s Cedar Rapids, IA, laboratory as a microbiologist, building upon his academic training. From Iowa, David transferred to the Silliker flagship laboratory in Chicago Heights, IL. There he was responsible for implementing and maintaining various quality systems in preparation for ISO certification. In 1999, he joined the company’s corporate headquarters in Homewood, IL, as a Marketing Project Leader. Taking his acquired skills, he transferred to the laboratory setting and eventually joined the Food Science Center, where he has been since 2004. These diverse and complementary experiences have allowed David to have a greater understanding of the national and international food industry.
