RE: Lab Transition Effective January 1, 2017

Effective January 1, the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) is transitioning its membership assistance and claims laboratory services to RQA Food Forensics™, a private laboratory services company (http://www.food-forensics.com/).  The GMA Science Operations team will be working with member companies through this period of change to ensure a smooth transition.

This outsourcing solution provides a new way for GMA to offer members, who currently use our laboratory operations, access to a source of high quality laboratory services.  GMA staff will continue to provide scientific and technical consulting services to all GMA members on a broad range of food safety, technical and regulatory issues.

Instead of submitting samples to GMA, samples will be submitted to RQA.  Please visit this link (http://www.food-forensics.com/gmamember.htm) to find information about the program and sample submittal forms.  GMA has negotiated discounted pricing for its members.  A FAQ sheet is attached outlining how the new process will work.

Please contact Dan Howell if you would like to discuss.

Kind Regards, Melinda
